N.B. This article contains a reference to an E.Q. - the equivalent for emotion of an I.Q. for intelligence. This idea, later to be known under the name of emotional intelligence, was 30 years ahead of its time. It was put forward in 1995 by Daniel Goleman in his book "Emotional Intelligence".
